Convention Season Begins!!

From Montreal to Niagara Falls we hit the road bringing Atrium to graphic novel enthusiasts.

It’s that time of year again when leaves begin to bloom, days are longer and temperatures tease the heat of summer. It’s also when comic book conventions kick into high gear and the train doesn’t stop until just before the end of the year.

May was a particularly busy month with MCAF in Montreal, Quebec followed by an in-store signing at Chapters in St. Catharines, Ontario. Montreal enthusiastically welcomes comic creators to their annual outdoor festival and this year was no exception. The weather, unlike last year, co-operated setting the stage for a wonderful weekend of packed streets on Rue St. Denis. For Montreal we printed French, English and Portuguese editions of the Atrium graphic novel. Four sunny days later and all that remained were some Portuguese editions and a few copies of the special edition hardcover. Merci Montréal!!

Next up was St. Catharines, Ontario. The Comix Asylum crew had the pleasure of participating in an in-store signing at Chapters/Indigo. It was a fantastic way to spend a Sunday afternoon and we’d like to offer a huge thank you to everyone who came by our table. Special thanks also goes out to the Indigo staff who made it all possible.

The convention express continues this weekend, this time with two events! Niagara Falls Comic Con takes place this weekend as does TCAF. We’ll be at both events beginning on Friday in Niagara Falls. The team will be doing double duty when TCAF kicks off in Toronto on Saturday at the Mattamy Athletic Centre.

There will be more conventions for us during the summer and we’ll announce them as they arise. Until then we look forward to seeing you over the weekend in Toronto and Niagara Falls!!
