It's been a lifelong wish to visit Brazil and what better way to do so than to finally meet Atrium's artist extraordinaire, Lucas Filappi and for an in-store signing at a local comic book shop called, Loja Monstra. I'd gotten to know Lucas over the course of several Zoom calls working on Atrium but getting to hang out in person was fantastic and he's even nicer in person!!

I arrived in Sao Paulo after a 10 hour flight from Toronto and before long, Lucas and I were on our way to Loja Monstra to meet new Atrium fans and sign copies of the miniseries!! We were also pleased to announce that Lucas was translating Atrium into Portuguese and had a print copy of the translated graphic novel on display.

I truly couldn't ask for a better way to spend a Saturday!! Obrigado to everyone who passed by to chat Atrium and pick up a copy.

The comicbook scene in São Paulo is a major vibe with comics available at newsstands on the street and at amazing local comic shops like the aforementioned Loja Monstra and the Comix Book Shop.

My time in Brazil was short but I was lucky enough to experience convention madness Brazilian style as CCXP was on. Lucas and I attended on Friday and had a wonderful time meeting all of the talented local artists who were tabling at the convention. It was awe inspiring to see how much talent there is in Brazil.

A special thank you goes out to everyone who made my time in Brazil the amazing time that it was. I had a blast and can't wait to return!
