La Belle Province is home to many things: great food, awesome festivals, my favourite hockey team and one of the best pop culture cons around. This year was no different as Comicon de Montreal did not disappoint. I had a great time meeting everyone that passed by my table (apologies for my less than perfect French) chatting about art, writing and Chronokari Alpha. A special thank you goes out to Jackie Long of The Teeny Tiny Bakery who did an amazing job on the cookies!!! They were a hit and we all gone by the end of the weekend. Once again I had a great time at the show and even though I'd been there before as press with Comix Asylum and as an artist at other tables, this was the first time that I did a solo gig in Montreal. Needless to say I can't wait until next year's show rolls around again.
I'll leave you with a gallery of the weekend including a couple of shots from a quick trip I took to Le Centre Bell, home of my beloved Montreal Canadiens. A while back I bought a bright in the Centennial Plaza, the Habs erected for their 100th season. They took down the original plaza to make way for some condos so I had to take a look at the new plaza now that it was open to the public. One other benefit of the convention is that it happens during the Jazz Festival and it was great winding down each night to the sounds of great musicians playing before large crowds. Montreal never disappoints and I can't wait to do it all again in 2018.
